Internet Recharter

Internet Recharter is officially open!

Charters will now be submitted through Internet Advancement 2.0 (https://advancements.scouting.org) using the same login credentials that you use for my.scouting and Scoutbook. We strongly advise units to pay their charter directly to Council as this will allow us to make changes to a charter once it is submitted.

Visit http://www.ciecbsa.org/internet-recharter/ for more information on the rechartering process.

Charters are due Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

If you have any questions please contact your District Executive or the Council Registrar.

Silver Beaver

Silver Beaver Application

It is once again time to nominate those selfless volunteers in our great Council that have made a significant impact in our service to youth! The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a Council level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America.  Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have given service to youth at the Council level, not in a unit or the district. Please make sure to fill out the form completely, do research on your nominee and fill in all the blanks. Remember to forward to your District Chair for review and signature.  Applications that are not approved by District Chairs will not be accepted.

This nomination form must be sent to the CIEC office by November 30th, 2021. Late forms will not be accepted for evaluation. Do not attach any additional statements or letters of recommendation to this form. Forms can be submitted electronically to beverly.gruendner@scouting.org

Charlene Betty

It is with great sadness we announce the passing Charlene Betty. On Sunday October 17th Charlene was called home when she lost her battle with cancer.

Charlene spoke enthusiastically to everyone about her love for our youth, community, and the Scouting program. For over 30 years she gave 100% of her time, energy, and leadership in many roles. She served on the Gray Arrow District Dinner Committee for over a two decades. She ultimately transferred that role to Cheryl Lucas so she could concentrate on being Gray Arrow's Vice President of Programs these last few years. She was the backbone of Grayback District and helped to smoothly transition to Gray Arrow District  when merging with the Arrowhead District several years ago. We will miss her enthusiasm and role in guiding the District forward. Know one can possibly know everyone she that she helped, directed, counseled, and was friends with in life and scouting. She will truly be missed by all.

To make a contribution to the California Inland Empire Council Memorial in Charlene's name, fill out the gift form, and mail the form to California Inland Empire Council, BSA, 1230 Indiana Court Redlands, CA 92374.  Click Here for Tribute Form

Thank you NRA

The California Inland Empire Boy Scouts of America would like to thank the NRA Foundation for their continued support of our Scouting Shooting Sport Activities.  Despite COVID-19, over 3,583 Scouts and Scouters benefited from NRA’s funding in 2020-2021 by participating at Summer Camp, Day Camps, Adventure Weekend, Trainings, and more.
